Sibundoy masks are a traditional form of self-expression for the indigenous Kamsá and Inga people, deeply rich in symbolism. Each mask is hand-carved by a shaman and their family, then slowly smoked over a fire to cure it before being adorned with hundreds—or even thousands—of tiny beads.
